Welcome to the Penguins Team Website!

PHAST is a summer recreational swim team program where young swimmers improve their skills, learn sportsmanship as they compete against other swimmers, and have fun-filled, enjoyable summers. Swimmers participate in weekly competitive dual meets and have the opportunity to swim at a variety of Invitational Meets. PHAST also participates in the annual Diablo Community Swim League Championship Meet. These swim meets promote integrity and high ethical standards for all participating athletes, coaches, and parents, and ensure fairness through rules and regulations. The goal of PHAST is to use the sports experience to help our swimmers develop positive character traits and values that will help them succeed in all future endeavors.

    Star Times

Swimmers can earn stars for benchmark times please see the attached file for time standards. Stars begin at white, then red, blue, and gold is the county swim meet qualification time standard. Stars can be picked up with an honor system by parents in the Data Office.  Parents will need to keep track of stars earned by their swimmers.  Note - Once a star standard is earned you only take that star once.  When your swimmer progresses to the next star, take the next color.  If your swimmer obtains a star with a lesser star to start, feel free to take all appropriate stars.  Example - Swimmers earn a Blue Star at Time Trials, take a blue, red, and white.  Swimmer earns a White Star during the season - only take it one time until next star is achieved.

For 8 and unders a popped time earns a mini penguin. Mini penguins are based upon an honor system and are available for parents to retrieve from the Data Office.

These stars and penguins can then be put on the traditional red penguin sweatshirt.

NOTE: Our League has the same Star Standard Times as we do but they use a different color system.  Gold is still God.  Silver is our Blue.  Bronze is our Red.  And Copper is our White.
